Visitor's Guide
We hope you join us for a Sunday worship or a church activity? Below are some helpful facts about Messiah:
- Our Sunday worship service is printed in the worship folder. We also provide a bulletin of events and ongoing programs that take place at Messiah each week. Information about the Messiah Lutheran Academy will also be in the bulletin.
- Guest information cards are provided in the pews for you to fill out, if you choose. These cards help us to better serve the needs our our first time guests and returning guests.
- Our Greeters will welcome you as you enter the church. They will be happy to answer any questions you have and to guide you through to the Nave.
- You will meet our ushers next, and they will further assist you as you enter the Nave.
- Your children are welcome at our church services. However,if you prefer, we have a Nursery Attendant for children 5 years old and younger. She is a full time employee of the Messiah Lutheran Academy, the church's preschool.
- Your style of dress is between you and God. Which ever style of dress you choose and feel comfortable in, is up to you. We are just happy you are here.
- Our offerings are received before Holy Communion. Many of our parishioners give, or tithe, once a month, so do not feel obligated as a first time guest, to make an offering. The opportunity for you to give is there.
- All baptized Christians are invited to partake at the table.We celebrate the Eucharist at every service. You may partake of both elements, bread and wine, or of one element.
- Adult Education takes place every Sunday beginning at 9:45 a.m. We discuss a variety of topics and we are open to exploring new areas.
We realize attending a new church for the first
time can be intimidating. We are a welcoming and caring congregation who wants
to make you feel apart of our Christian Community. We respect your need to not be pressured
into anything you do not wish to do. Our church membership is voluntary. We
invite you to worship and visit with us and perhaps this will lead you toward
wanting to cultivate a relationship with the Messiah Family. Do not hesitate to say "I am new". We want you to
feel at ease here.
